Dear Colleagues,
As you know, the University has been actively engaged in a comprehensive near-term central campus space planning initiative over the past several months. We are grateful for the flexibility and partnership of University Advancement and University Marketing and Communications as we plan for the administrative cluster in the Baity Street area and the temporary relocations that will be part of that effort.
This week, we are announcing the first phase of relocations. The departments of Computer Science, Education, and Philosophy and the Entrepreneurship Program will be relocating to Alumni Hall (tentatively scheduled for Summer 2026) following renovations. This will allow us to address their growing space needs and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
We wanted you to hear – directly from our whole project team – how much we appreciate your collaboration. This move will create significant improvements in the academic experience and excellence at Wake Forest, which will benefit the University in countless ways. That said, we also understand that change, even when necessary and beneficial, can be challenging. University Advancement and University Marketing and Communications are being exemplary team players in the temporary move to the University Corporate Center and we want to acknowledge that and thank you all.
Mark Petersen and his team will continue to provide updates on the timing of your interim move to the UCC while an anticipated leased office building is constructed at the Baity Street redevelopment. We currently anticipate your move will take place in the November-December time frame. Exact details will be communicated as they are finalized.
We remain committed to a transparent and collaborative approach throughout this process. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our project team. We are here to support you and to ensure that this process is as smooth and inclusive as possible.
Thank you again for your continued engagement and for your commitment to the excellence that defines Wake Forest University.
Sincerely,
Michele Gillespie
